Raffles International School (RIS) offers the UK National Curriculum leading up to GCSE/IGCSE and A-levels. It also offers BTEC Business for students after GCSE. In FS1 and FS2 children follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage as preparation for their UK-based education from Year 1. In 2021 RIS was rated as Outstanding in their British Schools Overseas inspection, an accolade that recognises the high quality British education provided by the school across the entire age range.
In addition to the traditional UK National Curriculum, RIS is proud of its international flavour, offering Arabic A and Arabic B along with French and Mandarin as second languages. French, Spanish, Russian and Hindi mother-tongue programmes are offered to native speakers, as well as an English Language Support programme. In addition to this there is a comprehensive programme of Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) that all children can access to extend their learning and personal development outside the classroom.
RIS provides the foundations necessary for a child’s education and the ‘scaffolded’ support to facilitate their growth in a secure learning environment.
Established in 2007, RIS has grown to educate more than 1300 pupils from more than 90 nationalities and is accredited by the British Schools Overseas and British Schools of the Middle East networks.
